Camelot Ego Z
15/12/1998
Unique and prepotent producer of GP type showjumping
horses. A copy (except colour) of his sire, Carthago Z,
Camelot Ego Z strongly passes on:-
Height via exceptionally long legs with a light body
- elegance.
Extreme flexibility and softness requiring more time
to mature and strengthen
instinctive, willing and correct jump
excellent, unusually balanced canter (progeny prefer
to canter)
Instinctive and easy flying changes
laid back, trainable character able to withstand
training pressure
Average and acceptable walk and trot - good enough
that a few breeders have purpose bred for dressage.
Functionally correct anatomy
....over many different types of mares
Covering approximately 50 mares in his first four
seasons, with the majority of females going into
breeding, the number of sound, talented and successful
youngsters starting out under professional and amateur
riders is extraordinary.
A sire is only as good as his progeny:
Camelot Ego Z has surpassed all expectations as a
sire. Not only does he strongly pass on the
important showjumping characteristics of a balanced,
flexible canter, instinctive flying changes
and prodigious jump, his stock have now shown they
have the fortitude and character to be successful
amongst imported and professionally trained
competition horses under both amateurs and
professionals.

In the last 2 years. Camelot stock, despite being
slow maturers with his oldest only 9yr old have
soundly won or placed at many prestigious events
including the SIEC Futurity, ACT Championships, QLD
Championships and Major Victorian shows. Not
surprisingly, with movement and temperament,
Camelot's progeny are now successfully making their
mark in the eventing field, as well.
With an increase in breeding interest and his young
stock difficult to procure, Summersea will continue
to offer breeders an affordable investment service
fee. Above average returns are common for progeny
produced from a wide range of mares and ponies.
